VOLUNTEER

Due to COVID-19, we have taken the safety and well-being of our staff, volunteers, and clients very seriously. We are not able to handle walk-up volunteers like we used to, so please sign up for a spot. We always looking for new volunteers and partners to collaborate with.

As a general precaution, if you are ever feeling sick, or have a fever/cough, we ask that you do not come to our event. Wait until you feel better and contact us again.

Rescued Pet Adoption and Fostering

Our adoption process for potential adopters is designed to ensure that every animal finds a loving and suitable forever home. We prioritize the well-being and happiness of the animals in our care, and our adoption process reflects this commitment.

  1. Application: Interested individuals are required to fill out an adoption application form. This form helps us gather important information about the potential adopter, their lifestyle, experience with pets, and preferences regarding the type of animal they are interested in adopting.

  2. Screening and Interview: Once the application is submitted, our team reviews it carefully. We may conduct a screening process, which can include a phone or in-person interview, to further assess the compatibility of the potential adopter with the specific animal they are interested in. This step helps us ensure that the adopter's living situation, experience, and expectations align with the needs of the animal.

  3. Home Visit: In some cases, we may conduct a home visit to assess the suitability of the environment for the animal. This visit allows us to ensure that the home is safe, secure, and suitable for the specific needs of the animal being adopted.

  4. Meet and Greet: If the potential adopter is deemed a good match, we arrange a meeting between the adopter and the animal. This interaction helps both parties gauge their compatibility, allowing them to bond and form a connection.

  5. Adoption Fee and Paperwork: If the meet and greet is successful, the potential adopter is required to pay an adoption fee, which helps cover the costs associated with the animal's care, including vaccinations, spaying/neutering, and any medical treatments. Additionally, they are required to complete the necessary paperwork, including an adoption contract, outlining their responsibilities as the new pet owner.

  6. Follow-Up and Support: Our commitment doesn't end with the adoption process. We provide post-adoption support and guidance to ensure a smooth transition for the animal into their new home. We offer resources, advice, and assistance to address any concerns or challenges that may arise after the adoption.

Our adoption process aims to find the best possible match between the animal and the adopter, ensuring that the adoption is a positive and lifelong commitment. By carefully screening potential adopters, conducting home visits, and providing ongoing support, we strive to create successful and happy forever homes for the animals in our care.
